SAWJAN was established in year 2002 which is going to complete its 19 years of fruitful existence in 2021. SAWJAN is a national level non-profit making organization registered under Societies Registration Act 1860, Vide Reg No SRA-43360/2002 staunchly believes in social, Environmental and Economic empowerment to all stakeholders by confining them under one roof. It is an organization which works on the multiple beneficial schemes in order to support the community on a diversified pattern. The main motive of the organization is to promote a large number of sustainable livelihoods.
From the Environmental point of view SAWJAN promotes Environmental Education, Policy development & Community outreach in ecology and management, livelihood, Education and outreach conservation planning. It is full fledge unit running its own activities of environmental and wild life conservation with the help of public participation and contribution

BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO PROGRAM
SAWJAN has organised awareness & training program on ‘BetiBachaoBetiPadhao’ Programme from 8th August to 21st August 2018 in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra with specially focusing four backward blocks namely Jalgaon City, Dharangaon, Parola and Chalisgaon with the CSR fund support of ONGC & Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.Approximately 11000 students of 14 education institutes with Approx 156 Volunteers and many intellectuals and leaders of the society contributes significantly to generate awareness among the peoples of Jalgaon for Save the Girl Child and Educate the Girl Child (BetiBachaoBetiPadhao).
International Yoga Awareness & Training
SAWJAN has conducted yoga awareness & training program 15th of June to 15th July 2018 at various places of Jalgaon district with the support of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.SAWJAN is one of the leading organization involved in organizing Yoga event, create awareness in people, training to volunteer to lead the people and trained the people specially student for the Yoga. From 2015 SAWJAN is working for awareness of Yoga remarkably in different area of Maharashtra especially in Jalgaon district.
